| OTOSCOPY:
A
visual examination of the ear canal and eardrum to determine if
there is an accumulation of wax, an infection in the ear canal or
other visible conditions in the ear that may require medical intervention.
IMMITANCE:
Measurement of the middle ear and the Eustachian tube
function to rule out possible conditions which may be treatable.
PURE
TONE TESTING: Evaluation of your perception of tones
of various pitches. Losses in the higher frequencies interfere
with our capacity to comprehend speech.
SPEECH
EVALUATION: Testing of your capacity to understand speech
will help determine your success with hearing amplification and
determine which circuits may be necessary in your hearing
instruments for your particular hearing problem.
CONSULTATION:
You will be part of the decision-making as to the type
of amplification you may need. All your questions will be answered
before you make any decisions.
